<title>Thursday July 3 Pre-Parade Mingle</title>

<description>This Thursday, July 3 is the Pre-Parade Mingle for those participating in the Freedom Festival Grand Parade.
The Sheriif's MICC will be in Staging and we will be giving out
assignments, t-shirts and issuing communication vests.

All parade volunteers need to come--between 4-8pm is best but we'll be there all night.  Then you can scout out your assignment.
Staging is behind the Zion's Bank which is across the street from Provo High on University Avenue and the beginning of Canyon Road in Provo.

<title>Squaw Peak 50 Race</title>

<description>Saturday, June 7th is the Squaw Peak 50 miler.  This starts and finishes at Vivian Park  after going through the Wasatch range over to Hobble Creek in Springville, up through Windy Pass and back down into the Provo Canyon again.

<title>Saturday May 31 TERT Outdoor Training</title>

<description>This is a reminder of the TERT Outdoor Training meeting that will be held this coming Saturday (May 31) at Aspen Grove trail head parking lot.   New members be there at 0800 for a fun NEW MEMBER CLASS presented by John Moellmer.  Everyone else be there ready to start at 0830. 

There will be a number of things going on.  Hopefully we will here from Ranger Steve Ashcraft and Dep. Collin Gordon from the Sheriff's Office.  Expect the training to end around 1330. 

Wade Starks will be taking pictures for ID cards and for his records so bring your best face. 

Unless conditions melt quicker, the Alpine Loop is closed until June 7th, those of you at the north end of the County will have to come up the Aspen Grove side.

<description>Tuesday, May 6th is May Interface.  This is also the mandatory Fireworks Watch training night for  those that  want to participate in the Orem Summerfest or Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Fireworks events.

For any recently licensed hams getting their tickets because of ecclesiastical assignments as emergency communications specialsits, participating at events, such as parades, is a low key/fun way to learn how to use your HT and learn how to operate on Directed and Tactical Nets.

It is that time of year again.  The annual Sage Riders Hare and Hound Desert Motocross race is taking place April 5th at Jerico, Utah.  This is a fun event that tests your emergency communications skills.  This year we need 12-15 radio operators.  If you like the outdoors and want to participate in a low key event with good people, this is great event.  This is a national race and nationally ranked desert race riders will be participating.
