see ‘read more’

The main topic will be centered around Provo’s Freedom Festival where we ask for 75+ volunteer radio communicators to help Provo City at the biggest Fourth of July parade in the U.S.

The Parade-Event-Call Out season has begun so this topic will include all other events taking place this season.

We’ve already started off the events/parades with last weekend’s Eagle Mountain Pony Express Days and the Squaw Peak 50 Miler Race.

This upcoming weekend we have two events:

Springville Art City Days Parade which starts at 8a-12n.
If you have not signed up to help and still want to, you can email
Alan Anderson at kc7ejo@arrl.net to help.
We will meet in the Springville EOC parking lot (fire/police complex)
Parking is limited so come earlier than you would think.

In the afternoon, on June 9 is the Orem Summerfest Parade and Fireworks Watch. If you have not signed up to help with this and still want to, but cannot come to the Interface, then contact
Lance Larsen at n7wcx@ucares.org.

Wednesday, July 4 is the Provo Freedom Festival and if you still haven’t signed up to help, you can at the Interface or email Suzanne Barney at
k1zen@ucares.org

Also in July is the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Parade and Fireworks.
Brian Perry is coordinating this event. He will be at the Interface, but if you want to sign up now, email him at ad7gi@ucares.org

There are other events happening inbetween these Parade activities so listen in to the Tuesday night Nets to get signed up.

Call-out season is also upon us, If you would like to receive call out alerts from Utah Co. ARES via text messaging, contact
Brian Perry, ad7gi@ucares.org

Hope to see you at our next event!
