Prep class to teach Technician License basics

05-Mar-2005 and 12-Mar-2005, 09:00h

Gary Wallace N7JZN will be teaching a basic-level class for anyone wanting help preparing for the One-day Technician class taught by Steve Whitehead NV7V on 19-Mar-2005.

See http://www.arcuv.org/?pg=news for more info, or contact Trent – N7GMT (via ucares.org e-mail)

“When things go to pot,” many of us are likely to be at work. We need to help, and encourage, those “at home during the day” types to get their license and become involved in Amateur Radio in general, and Emergency Servies specifically.

To that end, N7JZN is teaching a prep class for the Technician License class, to help students get prepared for the next One-day Tech class.

This is a class geared specifically for non-geeks, for those who don’t know electronics or physics, for those who need a little more TLC than a Gordon West book and provide, etc. It is meant to be a preparatory class for the One-day Technician class that Steve will be doing the following Saturday.

The class will be held at the Manila Chapel in north Pleasant
Grove — the white chapel approx. 1/2 mile due east of the Mt. Timpanogos LDS Temple.

For further information on both classes, please see the News page on the ARCUV website:
