Springville Parade Details

Art City Days Parade request for communications operators

I have not been able to work my schedule to free up my commitments to participate in the Tuesday night Nets. But I need to get the information out concerning the Springville Parade. I met with the Springville Emergency Planning Committe this last Thursday and verified that they would like our communications help again this year.

The event is the Springville Art City Days Parade on Saturday June 10th.

I need all communications volunteers to arrive at the Springville Police Dept. or E.O.C. at 8:45 A.M. for a briefing at approx. 9:00 A.M. with Public Saftey for the Parade operations. I will need 10-15 operators for the parade route. The Parade Chair has not indicated they would like help for parade staging or de-staging. The event should be complete by 12 P.M. As in the past Springville Police Dept will provide Pizza afterward for those who helped with the public saftey operations for the parade.

NOTE: Please bring an ear phone for your radio and a high gain antenna and extra batteries as this event will be held simplex on 146.46 Mhz. Talk in will be on 147.34/94 Mhz. A pen/pencil and a pad of paper would also be helpful. Also, prepare for any weather conditions by bringing rain protection and sun protection.

Please contact me if you can help with this event by email: kc7ejo@arrl.net or kc7ejo@ucares.org, or during evening hours on the 147.34 or 147.23 repeaters.

Thanks

Alan Anderson – Utah County SCAT Liaison for Springville City.
