Utah County ARES (UCARES) has established a certification program to prepare members for Emergency Operations. Participation in this program is not required to join UCARES or use UCARES repeaters. All Amateur Radio Operators are welcome to participate as their abilities and schedule permits. It would be good to have an “ARES” vest when working within the ARES organization since we want people to know who we are, however a CERT vest (in my opinion) would be sufficient since the real purpose is safety.
I suggest moving the “ARES Membership” form from the CERTIFICATION tab to maybe under the HOME tab.
